Spirituality/ The Power of Prayer!

Ok, ladies before I begin, let us just take a few minutes to affirm ourselves in a place of power, peace, love and tranquility! We are capable, we are wonderous, we are powerful in "whatever" it is that God has destined for us. We stand strong in knowing that it is "HE" who strengthen us in all things we attempt to accomplish!

As we journey through this thing called life, we certainly at this "stage of the game" have faced many challenges, set backs and obstacles. We have discovered that we were even given some tasks that we didn't necessarily ask for. We discovered that we are the driving force in our families..... and our influence will have an everlasting effect on others such as our children, grandchildren, etc..... long after we are gone. Most of us have come to realize that these tasks are all ordained by God. Whether you have had children or not, you also have a "divine purpose" perhaps in mentoring or just being an influence on a younger family member or friend. Ok, in refencing back to tasks we never asked for.....what is that saying... "WITHOUT A TEST THERE IS NO TESTIMONY"! There is no way we could have successfully completed these tasks without some type of re-enforcement and guidance. That, for most of us it is our faith! Not at all talking about Religion, but just believing that there is a "higher power" in force to help guide us through, giving us direction and discernment on just how we are to proceed.

At this stage of life , most of us have slowed down and are now reflecting on how our own mothers who were so influential in helping to shape us, and also in preparing us to be able to carry the torch and us then passing that torch down to our own daughters. For me, losing my Dad suddenly of a massive heart attack.... him being only 33 years old, mom was 32 and myself being the eldest of four kids, (I was only ten years old) and now realizing the amazing strength it must have taken for her to carry the cross given to her in raising four little kids without a husband. I just can't even imagine! I now KNOW why mom stayed prayerful and faithful in her belief and trust in God, and how that faith was passed down to my sibling and I. We all, I am sure have experienced the power of prayer at different times and in different capacities in our lives, be it a health crisis, family crisis, financial crisis, etc., and how God came through and saved the situation. It's a continuous growth process, as we progress in life. I myself was disillusioned thinking that as you grow older life somehow gets easier. No, not necessarily, so, now we face health challenges, witness the deaths of a loved ones even more so, and other trials in life. We just face "different" kinds of challenges, perhaps. We just never know what is coming next. However, what we do pray for is that WHATEVER should come our way, with prayer and our unrelenting faith, we KNOW that we will be able handle it! As Scripture tells us....He will never leave us or forsake us......and how many of us can attest to that today! Ladies, I leave you in ending this post...... in the spirit of true sisterhood to encourage, embrace and support one another as we continue to walk in faith knowing that in the end ........it will be alright!
