Fresh Scents/Aromatics/Self-Care Equals Self-Love

Alright Ladies, let us first acknowledge our greatness and "who" we are as women! Always giving praise and honor to the most high, for it is "HE" to whom all of our greatness is derived! Sometime we wonder how is it that some us can tap into our potential and well others find it so difficult. Each and every one of us are unique in our own way, and we all have" God given" talents. Why is that some of us hedge forth in developing those GOD given talents and others seem to shy away from it? It's confidence, its self assurance, its the unrelenting need to succeed no matter what! It requires stepping out of our/your "comfort zone" and just being focused nd making it happen! This next senior is all of that and more, so without further delay, let me introduce you to this remarkable business woman and entrepreneur!

Her name is Renee Mornay. I was actually referred to Renee by a classmate and friend of mine, who was previously featured in my blog, Going back even a little further, I met Renee at a festival through this mutual friend, however I had no idea that she was indeed such a savvy business woman, let alone a phenomenal entrepreneur. In my interview with Renee, I found her to be very transparent and very "open" in sharing her story of entrepreneurship and what led her to making her dreams become a reality. Renee is a native New Orleanian, who actually moved to Texas in 1985, got married in 1988, and divorced in 2015. She worked in real estate industry for many years. Renee has two sons and being a mother ,she stated that she simply wanted to create a legacy for her two sons, teaching them about how to create a business and getting into the world of entrepreneurship. She explained that she really didn't know what was next for her, only that she needed a change and a change is exactly what she got! She continued working in the corporate realm, because of course she needed the income to help support herself and her family. Nevertheless, she still pursued her passion and dream of become a business owner. She noted that she loved candles and actually enjoyed making them with kids, and would just give them away to teachers, etc. It was from this, that she had the revelation that this is what she wanted to do, and it became an absolute passion of hers.

Renee started selling her products at a Dallas Farmer's Market. From there she explored the idea of selling artisan and all natural soaps. Her soaps started immediately selling out. Her business then began to take off! Renee being the business-minded person that she is, decided to expand her market and inventory, therefore she also began selling shea butter all natural hair and body products, natural skin products, essential oils and aromatics. I definitely have learned a lot from my interview with this fabulous senior and how she developed her business plan, and also pointers of exactly how she elevated her brand. In this world of free-enterprise, Renee explained that she get a lot of her profits by simply selling her products to other small business owners, allowing them put their own labels to her products. Isn't this is how Amazon works ? Business are allowed to pedal their products under the Amazon umbrella! Jeff Bezos's idea of doing this was and still is ingenious! This is so masterful in that this increases Renee's profit margin...... as well as helping other small businesses to succeed. Renee currently has two trusted employees working in her store, who has been with her for about eight years, along with one of her sons. One of which is making frequent trips back to NOLA , her hometown. She is owns her own condo in Metairie, where she is able to escape for a change of scenery and for some good ole R & R as well as some party time!

Renee has certainly opened my eyes to her journey on how she went about creating her brand! I am and I'm sure you will be too thoroughly intrigued and impressed in how this phenomenal senior manages to own, operate and maintain her brand, by having her very own" Bath and Body Works" store (sort of speak) and how she was able to put this concept into fruition. This industry is not foreign to us, but to be able to tap into it, fulfilling her dreams therefore accomplishing her goals creating a legacy for her family is truly an awesome feat!
