Bon Voyage!!

Updated: Apr 3

Hi Ladies, introducing this next Super Senior JUDY LASSEIGNE BROWN. In highlighting this lady, I must first give you just a little back story on actually who she is to me! This person has been My Gail" (you know as in Oprah and Gail). We have laughed throughout the years about using that metaphor, each saying now why can't I be Oprah and vice versa. Either way, we decided that it really doesn't matter, because we know that whatever happens we will always have each other's back. Giving each other the real at times, the raw and the uncut, but always circling back . That is when you KNOW that friend is a true friend. We have known one another since the sixth grade and had kinda lost contact going to different high schools after graduating eight grade, but reconnected again when we were in college. We even had a" 30 Something Birthday Party" together at a Club on St. Charles Avenue, (former New Orleans Saints Player, Pat Swilling, was the owner then), celebrating both of our birthdays which are in August, only three days apart. We just knew we were the "stuff". Lol! We each got married, raised kids, divorced and remarried. Judy stood for me as my Maid of Honor in my second wedding to my late husband. All and all through the death of parents, siblings, etc., our friendship has stood the test of time! Our three times a week conversations and even more sometimes, when needed, has definitely proven itself to be a lifelong commitment of a true and valued friendship.

Ok, now let's get into the meat of this feature story. Judy, a native New Orleanian had worked in the Banking Industry for many many years in Human Resources as a Benefits Specialist. Upon meeting her husband Craig, she remarried and moved to Chicago where he is from. She previously had gone on a trip with friends to Chicago, which is where they first met. This was quite the change for Judy, the climate especially, coming from the many months of seasonably and unseasonably warm weather in NOLA...... to the cold climate in the Windy City. Judy was trying to figure out just what she wanted to do, now that she had given up her banking career to make this courageous move to Chicago. She and her husband Craig, attended a Presentation about the Travel Business. Judy and Craig were so intrigued by the presentation, that they decided to their create their own home based Travel Business, which officially launched in 2007. They were also liked the idea of being proprietors of their own Travel Business, which allowed them to also earn money. They also both love traveling. Thus, putting the business into fruition, the company's name is "Your Travel Fantasies". The web address is www.yourtravelfantasies.com. You can book your own travel directly through her website. However, she is more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and she notes that her hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9am - 6pm. Judy has been booking travel for a number of years now, and she primarily manages the business. I have personally utilized her services, as well as friends and others. Throughout the years, her professionalism has always been top notched. Not saying that just because she is my BFF . Folks that I have referred her to, continue to give me positive feedback about her services. She and I have gone on several cruises with our husbands, and also girl's cruises. Although Judy's expertise is in cruise bookings, she also does bookings for Resort destinations, domestic and international travel. Her professionalism is always unmatched, and I can tell you, when we have been been in route to our destinations when traveling, and I and others have asked her a travel question, she has no problem telling us....look I am on vacation too, check yall's emails please!. We all just look at each other and laugh. Judy takes yearly cruises with her family and friends and is totally enjoying retirement. She is doing it now simply as a passion, and just in wanting and help folks in making their travel fantasies a reality. We thank and salute another one our Super Seniors JUDY LASSEIGNE BROWN, and once again my BFF in telling her journey of entrepreneurship and doing something that she absolutely loves doing!!
